Gabriele Herzog (1965 Switzerland) lives and works in Berlin. Studied BA, Schule für Gestaltung Basel (Switzerland) and MA, University of the Arts London (UK).
Participation in international solo and group exhibitions, at PIERMARQ* Sydney, Amélie Maison D’Art, Paris, AINORI Gallery, Lisbon and Galerie SNOW, Berlin. Her works are part of the public collection SOCIETE GENERALE, Paris.
Herzog works the surfaces of her canvases in such a way that the elements of light and dark or negative and positive space, become complex and undefined. What was once positive now appears negative. The resulting tension evokes an emotional immediacy, a sense that the balance could be knocked off kilter at any moment.
